Into the Great Wide Open
As you read this, I’m quite literally on a flight headed to Costa Rica for a retreat that’s been on my calendar for months. It’s a big moment, one I’ve been preparing for, not just mentally but also in how I’ve approached the three weeks leading up to this.
For the past few weeks, I cleared my to-do list of hard deadlines. I stayed busy, of course, but without the pressure of due dates or looming tasks. I made a conscious effort to tie up the major loose ends so I could step away knowing that everything - my book, the business consulting work, and the acquisition venture is in order.
By removing the pressure of deadlines, I gave myself the space to breathe, reflect, and prepare for this retreat without being weighed down by a constant stream of tasks. What I’ve learned is that sometimes, stepping away from the grind is exactly what we need to step into clarity. It's about allowing things to unfold, trusting the process, and knowing that the future is still waiting, ready to be shaped when I return.
As I head into this retreat, I encourage you to consider creating space in your own life. Clear some room on your calendar, not forever, but just for a stretch, and see what opens up. You might find that the clarity you’ve been chasing was waiting for you in the stillness all along.

When I return, I’ll be diving back into some exciting projects, and I look forward to sharing more insights from both the retreat and the work that’s ahead.
Take care of yourself and find your own space for clarity this week.
With purpose,
Scott
