This Is One Hell of a Story We’re Living…

Last week, one night, driving to dinner with Ang and the kids, I found myself marveling at life. As we talked about everything that’s happening right now,  the plans for 2025, the things we’ve accomplished this year, the road we’ve traveled, I turned to her and said, “This is one hell of a story we’re living, isn’t it?”

Ang, in her way, didn’t hesitate. “You put it out there and went after it,” she said.

That moment hit me. Because she’s right. None of this is luck. None of this “just happened.” It started with a choice. I made a decision to stop living the life I thought I had to and to start living the life I wanted. The life that felt true.

Thanksgiving night, I had another moment, walking through a parking lot, when I realized I was standing in the exact future I had once only dared to imagine. Back then, it was just an idea, a dream. But as I took that walk, it wasn’t a dream anymore. It was my reality.

And now, here we are, looking ahead to 2025 with clarity, boldness, and honest-to-God plans that feel just as surreal. The kind of plans that once felt impossible but now feel inevitable.

This week’s blog explores the idea of claiming your future before the calendar flips to January 1st. Because that’s what it comes down to: deciding, right here and now, to step into the story you want to live.
